Getting the Power Right

Either way, the voltage and wattage have to play nice together. We tweak the filament length and the thickness of the quartz to hit that exact light intensity you’re looking for. But here is the catch: if you try to cram too much wattage into a short tube, things get hot. Fast. You’ve got to make sure your housing has plenty of airflow, or you’re risking a cracked tube from the heat stress. Nobody wants that.
The Nitty-Gritty: Materials and Plugs
We use high-purity fused quartz because it doesn’t soak up the UV light—it lets it through. If your project is a bit more specialized, we can add coatings to block certain wavelengths or boost others. Then there’s the connection. Whether you need a standard R7s, Sk15, or something totally custom with lead wires, we make sure it fits. We build these things to survive the chaos of a factory floor. The seals won’t leak and they won’t burn out, even when they’re heating up and cooling down a dozen times a day.
Finding the Sweet Spot
When we play around with the length and diameter of the lamp, we’re really looking at the gap between the light and the product. A tighter fit means more intensity, but it also gives you a much smaller window to get the curing right. It’s a balancing act between how fast you can run your line and how much heat you can handle.
