Let’s be honest—putting your logo on a box isn’t the same thing as building a brand. If you want to sell UV lamps that actually work, you have to get the guts of the hardware right. That’s where we come in. We handle the messy OEM side of things so you can stop buying generic bulk bulbs and start selling hardware that’s built exactly for your customers.
The science bit (kept simple)
Most of what we build hits that 253.7nm sweet spot. Why? Because that’s where microbial DNA basically gives up. When you ask us for a specific wattage or a certain length, you’re really just deciding how much “punch” the light has over a certain area. A longer tube covers more ground, but here’s the catch: you’ll need a ballast that can keep up. If the power isn’t steady, you get flickering. Or worse, the bulb burns out way too soon.
Glass and grit
You can’t just use any glass. Regular glass blocks UV-C rays completely. We use high-purity quartz because it actually lets the light through. Depending on what you’re building, we can tweak the end-caps and pins. We want these to be a “drop-in” fit, meaning your customers can swap them out without a headache. And if your gear is going into a humid basement or a salty coastal environment, let us know. We can add specialized seals so the electrodes don’t oxidize and the gas stays put.
The balancing act: Power vs. Life
Here is the trade-off. You can push a bulb to be incredibly intense, but you’ll kill it faster. If you overdrive the lamp, you get something called solarization. The quartz glass starts to cloud over, and suddenly your UV output drops off a cliff. We’ll help you find that middle ground—plenty of power, but with a lifespan of 8,000 to 10,000 hours. That’s the kind of reliability that keeps customers from complaining.
