
Getting Your OEM Setup Right with our 120W/cm Mercury UV Lamps
We build our standard mercury UV lamps to hit 120W/cm. Why that specific number? Because when you’re running a high-speed curing line, you need a fast, hard hit of UV radiation to get that polymerization moving—without melting your conveyor belt in the process. The heat is real. At 120W/cm, you’re packing a lot of energy into a very small space. To keep the UV output from dipping as things heat up, we use high-purity quartz glass. But here’s the thing: your ballast settings have to be spot on. If you push too hard, you’ll fry the electrodes. If you don’t push enough? Your cure rate tanks, and your parts come off the line feeling tacky. Nobody wants that. Beyond just a logo on a box If you’re buying wholesale to build your own brand, we do more than just “white label” the packaging. We actually get into the weeds with you. Need a specific lamp length? A different connector to fit a weird housing? We’ve got you. Whether you’re replacing an old legacy system or designing a brand new conveyor, we tweak the internal mercury pressure and electrode spots so you still get that consistent 120W/cm. A few warnings from the field These lamps get incredibly hot. We’ve seen way too many setups crash and burn because the cooling fans just weren’t up to the task. Make sure your housing has plenty of airflow. If it doesn’t, you’re risking thermal shock, which is a fancy way of saying your quartz could crack. Also, keep your shielding tight. You don’t want RF interference messing with your sensors right when you’re in the middle of a run. Basically, we handle the messy factory stuff—the vacuum sealing and the gas filling—so you can focus on the hardware and how your customers experience the final product.
